The Philadelphia Eagles have filed a tampering complaint against the Dallas Cowboys after Dallas owner Jerry Jones suggested on a radio show that his team is often interested in players such as suspended wide receiver Terrell Owens.
“In general, I am a risk-taker. We’ve gone down that road,” Jones said when asked if the Cowboys might be interested in Owens. “I probably have a propensity to try and make things work. … A top receiver could flourish with Drew Bledsoe. That’s always appealing.”‘
NFL spokesman Michael Signora confirmed Sunday the Eagles filed the complaint over Jones’ remark and said “the matter is under review.”
Owens was suspended for four games by the Eagles on Nov. 5 for criticizing quarterback Donovan McNabb, fighting with team “ambassador” Hugh Douglas and other actions deemed detrimental to the team. Last Tuesday, the suspension was upheld by an arbitrator.
After the suspension ends, the Eagles are expected to deactivate Owens for the rest of the season. He is expected to be traded or released for next season.
NFL bylaws prohibit “any interference by a member club with the employer-employee relationship of another club or any attempt by a club to impermissibly induce a person to seek employment with that club or with the NFL.”
The Eagles’ complaint was first reported by Fox.

Now being from philly, and a die hard philly sports fan, I will say first that if anything that bothers me about philly teams in general, is the lack of faith they put in players, the flyers have done it, the phillies, sixers, and since we’re on the eagles…I’m still pissed off at the way they let go or should i say, dismantled the NUMBER 1 ranked defence across the board(Reggie White era), But now this, yes T.O. should have kept his big mouth SHUT, and yes the eagles, should have benched him, but damn family, you won’t activate him after the four games, and you won’t release him now, I think it’s flat out B.S., and if Jerry Jones think he can work T.O., then bless him, when philly realize(and they are now, cause we’re strugglin’ hard to win) that big mouth or not, the man can make it happen on that field, remember you get what you paid for, and it was no suprise that T.O. was a nut case(check the track record). but you wanted him, and you got him, he expose you for what you are and now you want to punish him so he can’t make a living. if J.Jones is willing to ponie up some dough for him, I say let him go, because it’s clear to everyone that you no longer want him here. another chapter in the way philly treats GOOD players. I wish you luck T.O. Gonna miss you fam. Peace
Even though I feel T.O brought all this shit on himself, the Eagles should man up and just let the man go after his 4 game suspension. Keeping him on ice for the rest of the year is just plain spiteful. Its not like Philly is even gonna make the play-offs so what the hell are they worried about. And as far as Dallas goes, that tampering shit goes on behind the scenes all the time, they just got cought.P.S:Im a Giant fan anyway so who gives a Fuuuuuuuck !
